Brian O'Connell www.BrianJamesOConnell.com Brian James O'Connell is a writer, director and performer. A graduate of the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts, Brian achieved his life long dream last year when he wrote, directed and and acquired theatrical distribution for his first feature film, KILLER VIEW (the world's first feature film to be shot exclusively on disposable video cameras). As a performer at iOWest, Brian is the apprentice to Miles Stroth (Del Close's "War Chief) and a disciple of the improv form known as The Deconstruction. Similar to the grand tradition of apprenticeship in American Blues Music, if Del was Robert Johnson and Miles was Muddy Waters, Brian is a skinny white dude from High Point, NC. Brian can currently be seen performing at iOWest in TIGERPANTS, BILLYHAWK, garguilO'connell, DR. GOD, SWEATS!, THOSE WHO OPPOSE US WILL STAND KNEE DEEP IN THE BLOOD OF THEIR CHILDREN and EXTRA STRENGTH. In addition to coaching Kick Drum Decade, Brian also teaches a workshop entitled "The Art of Mimicry and How it leads to Nuclear War."
